We are a friendly and experienced team of eight, 1 Qualified teacher, Amanda is also our Forest School Leader, six staff with NVQ Level 3 in children’s care and development Helen, Ivy, Joy, Ned, Nicky and Lucy.

MEET THE SOUTHDOWN TEAM
Lucy Smith
Lucy has been manager of Southdown Nursery since January 2015 and has worked here since Jan 2009. Lucy is an Early Years Educator Level 3 trained, a Forest School Level 2, Designated child protection officer, Senco and a session supervisor.
Lucy works at Southdown on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Amanda
Amanda has worked at Southdown since 2012. Amanda is joint Nursery Deputy and she is a Qualified Early Years Teacher, Forest school level 3 leader and Session Supervisor.
Amanda works Monday all day, Tuesday morning, Thursday all day and Friday morning and lunch club.
Joy
Joy has worked at Southdown since January 2009. Joy is a Level 3 Early Years Educator and a session supervisor.
Joy works All day Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
Nicky
Nicky has worked at Southdown since 2014. Nicky is Joint Nursery Deputy, Designated child protection officer and is a Level 3 Early Years Educator. Nicky is the nursery’s finance coordinator.
Nicky works all day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday and Friday morning and lunch club.
Ivy
Ivy has worked at Southdown since September 2017 and has just achieved her Early Years Educator at NVQ Level 3. Ivy works on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday all day and Friday mornings.
Helen
Helen has been with Southdown since 2018. Helen has recently achieved her Early years Educator at NVQ Level 3 qualification.
Helen works Monday morning and and all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Ned
Ned has been with Southdown since September 2019 and has recently completed his NVQ Level 2 qualification as an Early Years Practitioner .
Ned works all day Monday, all day Tuesday, all day Wednesday, all day Thursday and Friday mornings.
